Show part one is called "Dream".
Eight giant screens show animation...which then transforms into a starry screen with a kid floating across on a boat shaped like a leaf.
A water ballet happens as the stage becomes flooded. Huge water fountains rising several stories high.

The Chinese flag then entered the stadium by two children (a boy and a girl) who turned it over the six guards of the People's Liberation Army - Guard of Honor (PLA-GOH) who in turn trooped the flag unfurled (goose-stepping) to the flagpole, where they wrapped up the flag and raised it to the singing of the national anthem.
