I take it there will be some official album(s) released for 2012. Athens had 3 official albums. Beijing, I believe, had more than 4 albums plus other unofficial ones. So, it would be surprising if there wasn't anything released for London.

Sometimes organizing committees release/commission music in the lead-up to the games (e.g. Freddie Mercury's Barcelona). Has anything been down for London yet? Anything for the two-year countdown?
Here's one that would be perfect for some great promos:
Now if they tweaked the lyrics a little say from this:
"London calling, see we ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eyes"
to this:
"Except for that one with the single eye"
or to be more blunt:
"Wenlock's the one with the single eye"
and throw in some more lyrics about peace, it could be a winner.
