I know there are two years to go, but I want to attend Olympic Games the first time in "London 2012" and therewith I am interested in knowing, who of our GB-members is planning to go to London too?

I wonder if some of our "Olympic Games experienced members" can give "greenhorns" like me some recommendations?

If I can save enough money by that time, yes. This is going to be a very expensive trip. I'm not sure if Rio 2016 is a better option for my first SOG either.

Will go me thinks.

Kill two birds with one stone, that being visiting a major international city AND going to an Olympic Games. Thats how I plan to visit a lot of countries, major sporting events. I went to Beijing 2008 and whilst at the time I got frustrated at a lot of things, I had a fantastic time and sort of regret not enjoying it more. But it was my first time overseas so I will learn from my mistakes.

I will want to attend the Rowing, hopefully one day of athletics, a swimming event, BBall is USA Dream Team is playing - Beijing match was the highlight, road race cycling....

For sure, i will be there ! How could i miss a European Olympics !

First advice, try to secure your accommodation now, before the prices come too high and location too far

2012 will be my 50th, so I've long planned the games as my present to myself. It'd be good to catch-up with any fellow GBers there.

I'd love to go, but being unemployed right now and having very little money makes things difficult. The economic situation is not over yet. Hmm, maybe Rio.
