Sochi isn't a traditional winter city either. Barcelona sold out the Men's big air competition at the World Snowboarding Championships last year.
London and Seoul have organized this event, could you imagine WoG in London or Seoul? It was a big air, even in Doha you can organize this kind of event. Never Barcelona will be winter city...

London has no mountains and same with Seoul, that is why Pyeongchang is hosting 2018.

I don't tell to pay attention to someone whose home town bid received 7 out of a total of 95 votes.
Barcelona would make an interesting bid.
1. They've got a large number of the indoor venues in place, and are a regular gateway for thousands going to the mountains.
2. It would be a new country and a new mountain range but a traditional continent.
3. No previously bidding for the Winter Olympics might be a draw back however.
