If you has the sorta funds that a Bill Gates or a Warren Buffet could throw around, or even just jagged a few mill thanks to a lucky lottery pick, what would be some of the collectibles you'd love to stock your own shrine to the five ring circus with?

For me...

  • A complete collection of Olympic torches (Berlin 36 and Sydney 2000 if I couldn't score them all)
  • A gold medal from either Melbourne 1956 or Sydney 2000, but would be happy with both ;)
  • Steve Bradbury's speed skates
  • Jesse Owen's track shoes
  • Bid books from all extant bids

I'd go with:

- the cauldrons!!

If not, then the FIRST and/or FINAL torches that lit the cauldron.

- the proofs of the medals

You guys know I've seen Beijing Gold, Sliver and Brozne 1:1 scale replicas of the Beijing medals.
It's the Olympic Winter Games (OWG) NOT "Winter Olympic Games' (WOG <----- NO NO NO!)

I always wanted an Albertville Gold Medal . I love the design of this medal. Too bad Ingrid O'Neil had one of these at one of her auctions for 25 grand. Looks like I will not be purchasing one of these soon. Does anyone out there have a collection of Olympic Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals?

I want a Torino 2006 medal, the Atlanta 1996 torch, the Vancouver OC wolf man's wolf cloak, and the underwear of the Yugoslavian 2000 champion men's volleyball team.
