Apparently as part of the Uk pavilion at the Shanghai Expo. Futurebrand, the company developing the look of the games with be designing an exhibition that will tell the story of the London games. This may give us a good feel for how things will look games time. The pavilion, designed by Heatherwick Studio, is really rather stunning and has been nicknamed 'The Dandelion'.

I really do think we should start a thread for your signature banners though - it'd be ashame if they were lost in the midst of Gamesbids history and it'd be good to see them all together, next to one another. Up to you, but it'd be great if you could make a thread with all of those in. B)

Back on topic, I've just had a look at Futurebrand's site, and I think they'll do a good job with London 2012's branding. Hopefullly they can take it up a few gears, a bit more like Wolff Olins intended it. I like the "Austrlia" brand which they've done, for example.

I notice the expo is from May, so I don't suppose we'll see photos of this proto-London 2012 branding till then. Good to let us know though.

It'd be great to have a thread for a lot of the old banners and sigs. I;d love to take a stroll down memory lane.

Baron's Brazilian Booty babe was one of the great images of the 2016 campaign to me. I'd love to see that again.

Wow - that is quite a statement UK - I like it!

I guess the Chinese Expo will see Western countries making an effort we haven't seen since the 80s.

Davey - I like the signature trhead idea - why don't you start one now? I love them all!
MANCHESTER 2002 - THE XVII COMMONWEALTH GAMES
LONDON 2012 - THE XXX OLYMPIC GAMES
GLASGOW 2014 - THE XX COMMONWEALTH GAMES

LONDON, SOCHI and RIO - UNITED IN EXCITEMENT!

It looks that way, though some are nice and others are just odd:

And a few more of the UK one:

Inside the UK's Seed Cathedral, seeds are seen, encased in the ends of acrylic poles used for the facade of the structure on March 15, 2010. The 20-meter-high cube-like Seed Cathedral is covered by 60,000 slim, transparent acrylic rods, which will quiver in the breeze, according to the official website of Shanghai Expo.
