NEED FOR RAPID APPROVAL PROCESS
It is imperative that approval for this project be given as soon as possible so that Swimming SA is in a position to bid for the FINA Swimming World Championship (long course) for 2015.
Early approval will also enable Swimming SA to bid for FINA short course world
championships which take place every two years.

Cape Town is building an international aquatics stadium and with that venue, it is bidding for the 2015 World Aquatics Championships? With that proposed facility, we can add another world class sports facility to Cape Town's list.
My Ranking of the 2018 Winter Olympic candidates cities:
1. Pyeongchang, Republic of Korea
2. Munich, Germany
3. Annecy, France

The venue will likely only seat about 5,000 and with the site constraints, will not allow for expansion.
So it will likely form part of a 2015 bid but not be the main venue.
Smart people to spend all that money on a venue that can't be expanded.
They will def be receiving a piece of my mind during the public participation process.

The Persian name was Dersaadet—Door to the Ultimate Happiness. The Greeks called it Teofilaktos—City Guarded by God; the Romans, Nuova Roma—New Rome; the Arabs, Farrouk—City Separating Two Continents; and the Ottoman Turks, Ummti-diinya—Mother of the World. Now, and since 1923 when the Turkish Republic formally renamed it, it is called Istanbul, meaning just The City—as though there were none other to compare.

Yes, adapated to local roads. The Bogota masterplan chief and the Bogota mayor that were involved in the Bogota BRT project are chief consultants to Cape Town's project. See the video towards a page back.
