Plaza del Castillo (Castle's Square). Actually, under the square there is a parking. It's the center of Pamplona.

Main Door of Pamplona's Cathedral. Victor Hugo says that the interior of the cathedral was the most magical place where he had been in.

Pamplona's Walls

Pamplona isn't so far of Huesca and Jaca. There are a lot of skiing stations in Jaca.

The Ciudadela was an ancient fort of the Spanish Army in the past and nowadays  is one of the most important parks of the city with the Taconera.

The famous Pamplona's City Hall Square, where the 6th of July at 12 a.m one person elected burns the "chupinazo" and Sanfermines begins.

Yes, this is the town of the "Running of Bulls", one of the most famous events in all the country. Great American writer Ernest Hemingway loved Pamplona for this spectacle which is part of the popular festival of Sanfermines, as he loved bullfighting in general, and this town is one of its centers.

But also if you shouldn't like to participate in something so spectacular as mentioned above, this well cared-for northern-spanish town certainly has something interesting to offer. Its very well conserved historical center for instance, or the picturesque mountain ranges of the region Navarra, with some of the most original folklore of all Spain. And to the gourmets it won't be anything new if I tell you that here are growing some really fine wines ...

Pamplona has got 171,150 inhabitants. It's the capital of Navarra and it's situated 407 kilometres of Madrid and 437 kilometres of Barcelona. The most nearest medium and biggest cities are: Logrońo, capital of La Rioja (88 kilometres), Bilbao (159 kilometres) and San Sebastian (92 kilometres).

The horrible thing of Pamplona is that Opus Dei has in Pamplona the world-wide headquarters and a private university of medicine, one of the better universities of medicine of Europe and the best of Spain.

I love it! I live in it!

Pamplona's Planetarium in Yamaguchi Park,it's a symbol of the good relationship that Pamplona enjoys with its Japanese twin city called Yamaguchi. The park is a large green area, with many ornamental features typically found in Japan. There are stylish fountains, a small lake with a bridge and a small waterfall. The park was inaugurated in 1997 and has many species of trees, some of which were brought over from Japan; indeed Yamaguchi played a role in the park’s construction.

I also advance the Azores, the Baleaic Islands, and the Canaries as possible Winter host cities.  As a matter of fact...every city and town on this earth should get nominated...
