8/8/18 marks the ten-year anniversary of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics. Despite the post-legacy questions and China’s relationship with the rest of the world, there’s no doubt Beijing had not only the best ceremonies, but also the best athletic competition. Does the success of Russia 2018 negate the problems from Sochi 2014?? Brazil 2014 and the Rio Olympics had similar problems in organization. I wouldn't even know Russia's World Cup and Winter Olympics were even held in the same country, given the contrast of the two.

Speaking of New Delhi 2010, how did it compare to Kuala Lumpur 1998?
