Information: Salzburg will be the centre of the bid, but the mens alpine ski events would all be held in nearby Kitzbuehel. The men's downhill staged on the legendary Streif piste. Salzburg and Kitzbuehel had planned separate bids, but Kitzbuehel withdrew saying joining the Salzburg bid may strengthen both bids
