Participants at the workshop included senior members of PyeongChang 2018, leading environmental officials from non-government organizations, new and renewable energy experts, university professors and government environment officers. The workshop was held to discuss and develop strategies to reduce carbon emissions at the venues proposed by PyeongChang 2018's bid. The workshop included specific presentations made by key experts from leading environment and sustainability institutions, such as the Climate Change Research Institute of Korea, the Korea Environment Institute, the Research Institute for Gangwon, and Heerim Architects and Planners.
