PyeongChang 2018 Changes Bid Leadership
PyeongChang 2018 announced Monday that Yangho Cho, Chairman of Korean Air, will become the sole Chairman and CEO of PyeongChang's bid for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
Jin-Sun Kim, former co-chair of PyeongChang 2018, stepped down as Governor of Gangwon Province earlier this year after serving his three-term limit. He was expected to stay on as co-chair of PyeongChang's bid. He led the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympic bids.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board is to announce the Candidate Cities for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games on June 22.
The other cities bidding to host the 2018 Games are Annecy and Munich.
