The Squash 2016 six-member bid team is making final preparations for its 30-minute presentation to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board in Lausanne, Switzerland June 15 to have the sport included in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

All seven sports hoping to be included in the 2016 Games will be making presentations, but in a press release squash says it believes it has the right attributes to make it worthy of a spot.

In its presentation the team will debut a brand new video that highlights how good the sport looks on television, and will talk about the "impressive universality" of squash and what a low-cost addition to the Olympic Games the sport would be.

Three players from across the globe that are part of the team will explain how an Olympic medal would be the highest honour within the sport - all the top squash athletes in the world have pledged to be there and to compete, said the press release.

N Ramachandran, President of the World Squash Federation, (WSF) said, "the team has put an enormous amount of work into Monday's presentation which is a reflection of how important Olympic inclusion is to the world of squash. We are looking forward to the opportunity to address the Executive Board and highlight the many ways in which squash fulfils the criteria to become an Olympic sport".
