SportAccord 2008 - 2016 Summer Games Candidate List Announcement

Officials of the seven cities bidding to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games will be on hand at the SportAccord 2008 conference being held in Athens Greece June 2-6, where the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is to announce which of seven cities made it to official candidate status.

Top executives from among a list of international sports industry leaders will be speaking during the conference sessions.

The conference will also feature a CEO Plenary Session on Future Trends for Sport Business Models and a Media Forum Round Table on Exploring New Television Markets.

SportAccord is expected to attract 1500 delegates from 500 organizations. According to a media release the conference sessions are part of a “diverse” program of activities during SportAccord Week, which includes a “dynamic” exhibition, numerous networking receptions, and the annual general meetings of the Sports Governing Bodies.
