Ticket Sales For Beijing 2008 Games Begin Next Year
Jiang Xiaoxu, Beijing 2008 Executive Vice President, told a seminar on media coverage of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games that the Beijing Organizing Committee will start selling tickets for the 2008 Games next year.
According to Jiang, while major stadiums are in the process of construction, the committee should first determine how many seats the stadiums can provide and how many seats should be reserved for the media and guests.
Jiang said, “first we need to figure out how many seats should be reserved for media and guests of the Olympic Family. Then we will kick off the ticketing plan”.
Also, plans for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies will begin to take shape later this year. A production team for the ceremonies will be picked in September, which is also the deadline for selecting tentative schemes, reports the Xinhua News Agency. Write or read comments about this article
