Australian bookmaker Centrebet has reacted to news from New York that the bid's proposed Olympic Stadium was rejected by State officials on Monday.

New York 2012 has been relegated to a 33-1 longshot only hours after its odds were set at 12-1 following a favorable technical evaluation report. That drops the bid from 3rd to 4th position, according to the oddsmaker.

Madrid's odds improved from 25-1 to 12-1 on the stadium news and Paris marked a marginal increase.

Highly respected Centrebet has successfully predicted bid winners in the past and was the only online bookmaker to correctly choose Vancouver as the winning bid for the 2010 Games. Paris is currently the bid to beat, according to the posted odds.

Current Centrebet Odds:
1-6 Paris
7-2 London
12-1 Madrid
33-1 New York City
100-1 Moscow Write or read comments about this article
