Bogota 2015 Has Major Support

A survey conducted by the National University Economics Department and their Development Research Center shows that 95 per cent of Bogotanos are in favour of Bogota hosting the 2015 Pan American Games. The response came from men and women in all age groups.

More than 21,000 residents of the city were interviewed between September 13 and October 25.

Only 3.3 per cent said they were not in favour of Bogota hosting the 2015 Games.

The Colombian delegation travelled to Guadalajara Mexico Monday. The delegation is comprised of representatives from the Colombian and Bogota governments, the Colombian Olympic Committee, the Colombian National Sports Institute, Bogota Department of Culture, Recreation and Sports, the Bogota Institute of Recreation and Sports, as well as representatives from the world of sport, music and culture.
